OUR
STORY

The chest-injured patients’ healing and rehabilitation process are currently in jeopardy due to the number of falls and injuries when they already have little to no ability to move around. The current radiology wheelchairs, especially the backing and armrests, obstruct the view of the lung field and make it more difficult for the radiologist to make a proper diagnosis. Also, the dense materials in the backing and armrests can mimic health complications that the patient does not have. This often results in lower quality x-rays, increasing the likelihood that something important is overlooked or not caught in the x-ray. While this problem is scary, we have a solution. R-Trek is partnering with Phoenix Mayo Clinic's Radiology department to create a wheelchair designed to empower the patients and radiology technicians with options of true versatility built from R-Trek’s factories. Our one-of-a-kind spring-loaded Hirth joints make the reclining design effortless to conduct chest x-rays and so much more. The R-Trek extends the patient’s quality of care and at the end of the day, patients are our number one priority.
